Young people attend our arts classes, arts camps and English Tutoring Program from all over Toronto and Etobicoke, but our location in the heart of Bloor West Village means we are of special interest to families and teenagers living in the Swansea, Baby Point, Junction and Bloor West Village neighborhoods.

Our Location in the Heart of Bloor West Village

Our after-school and weekend arts classes, and our English Tutoring programs, are located in a bright, multi-purpose studio in Windermere Court, above the RBC Bank, in the heart of Bloor West Village. We’re a 5 minute walk from the TTC, located between Jane Subway and Runnymede Subway. Our students come to us from Swansea Public School, Etobicoke School for the Arts, Humbercrest Public School, Humberside Collegiate, Ursula Franklin School, and other schools in the High Park, Swansea, Bloor West Village Area.

Serving Bloor West Village for 12 Years… and Counting!

The Centauri Arts Academy first opened its doors 12 years ago, offering Film Production, Creative Writing and Acting classes for young people aged 9-18. Our first location was at between Runnymede and High Park, and we opened our own studio space in Windermere Court  in 2013.

Arts Classes, Arts Camps, English Tutoring…
Arts in Bloor West Village!

Five years ago, we added Fine Art, Digital Art and Animation programs to our after school classes in Bloor West Village. Four years ago, we started offering week-long and one-day holiday camps for kids – and arts intensives for teens. Three years ago, we added virtual classes… and now, we also offer an English Tutoring Program for students in our Bloor West Village location: reading and writing support for young people who want to get ahead, and stay ahead, in school.

Arts Classes for Teens in Swansea and Bloor West Village – Run by Your Neighbors!

Julie and Craig Hartley are the Directors of Centauri Arts, and we’ve lived and worked in the Bloor West Village and Baby Point neighborhoods for 27 years. Our office administrator and Art Director, Aaron Alviano, also lives in Bloor West Village – and many of our arts instructors do, too. We’ve partnered with local coffee shops to make our movies, and with The Village Playhouse near Runnymede, to showcase our end-of-year performances. Each year, our creative writing students launch an anthology, and our artists exhibit their work – all at Swansea Town Hall.
