English Tutoring: Virtual and In-Person
The English Enrichment Program at Centauri Arts offers young people the opportunity to practise and develop their reading and writing skills. English tutoring is offered in solo or small group classes, after school and on the weekends. We offer virtual English Tutoring, and an English Tutoring program based out of our academy in Bloor West Village, West Toronto.
Our English Language Program: How Does it Work?
Students join their English tutor for 90 minutes per week, and in addition, they complete an hour-long assignment between classes. Each English class includes several writing ‘projects’, adapted to meet the needs of the student. These include a weekly Free Write, a reading comprehension and an extended piece of writing. All written pieces are annotated by the instructor, and we include short ‘grammar bites’ to help students enhance their appreciation of language conventions. We draw from a wide variety of course material, matching written assignments and reading material to the interests of each student.
