Santa Lucia Plaza is only a two minute walk away, and a 10-minute walk in the opposite direction brings us to Paseo de Montejo, a gorgeous street with the feel of the Champs Elysees, lined with mansions and museums.

Surrounding the pool are shaded areas perfect for writing – and there’s a small bar where you can get amazing cocktails at very reasonable prices – offering writers a very different kind of inspiration!

Luz en Yucatan started serving breakfasts last year, and their food is so popular with our writers! They offer a choice of Mexican and American breakfasts, with homemade sauces and pastries each day. Breakfast is included in the fee, and we’re only a short walk from amazing restaurants, all of them with pretty patios and many with live music. Plus, for writers on a budget, Luz has a small kitchen you can use to prepare your own meals.
