In-Person Team Building Workshops
Choose from the following Team-Building Experiences:
Team Skills Through Film-making (full day)
Groups begin with a crash course in film-making techniques, then collaborate in a race-against-time attempt to create an original short film in just one day! Teams work together to brainstorm ideas, create a script and film their movie, rotating production duties such as director, camera operator, sound technician and designer. You’ll need on-screen actors, too! This entire process is collaborative, and while we facilitate and instruct, the end result depends on the team!
Objectives: enhance creativity, promote camadarerie, improve communication skills and spend a memorable day doing something new and different.
Creative Writing Connections (half day or full day)
People have used stories to build connections with others for thousands of years; in this team-enhancing experience you will learn more about yourselves and each other through the words you write and share. We’ll mine our life experience for stories that connect us, become more prolific with words as we expression ourselves, and build camaraderie through collaborative writing games. This workshop is engaging and interactive – you can expect to laugh a lot, write a lot – and participants are usually astonished by what they produce! Writing “skill” is neither assumed, nor necessary.
Objectives: promote a creative mindset, enhance written communication skills, encourage authentic connection, deepen trust between team members.
Stage Combat Challenge (half or full day)
Stride out of your comfort zone in this active and fun-filled team experience! You’ll work with a qualified and experienced fight director to learn the basics of unarmed combat as it applies to film and television. Learn to safely create the illusion of fighting in an active morning filled with laughter. In the full day option, your team will spend the afternoon with swords in hand as you learn how to choreograph a fight sequence for film or live theatre.
Objectives: promotes team skills and camaraderie, deepens trust, boosts morale, simulate safe risk-taking and discuss how it applies to the workplace.
Location
For groups of 16 or less, come to our studio space in beautiful Bloor West Village, Toronto.
For groups of 17+, we can come to you or find a suitable 3rd party location!
